Youth Consultative Workshop / Advisory Group
About Consultative Workshop
Adolescents are more likely to initiate tobacco use if they lack the awareness of tobacco and related industry tactics deliberately employed to hook them on nicotine and tobacco products and if they lack the skills to say no to nicotine and tobacco.
This workshop aims to empower youth to identify that tobacco use is a menace by creating awareness of its forms, harms, use and current laws. Also to get their fresh perspective as a stakeholder to guide us in our future research on tobacco control.
The workshop is being organised by SME partner, the Initiative, University of York and funded by The Horizon Europe. The Initiative has been working at the interface of research and policy to promote tobacco control policies in the region. The workshop will be attended by 13 to 22 years old students from varied educational institutes.
